2019 Volkswagen Tiguan Trims Explained

The 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan is designed to grab attention wherever the road takes it. Don’t underestimate the capability of this relatively small crossover SUV, it has all the best features to keep up with all its competitors. Not to mention its unbeatable interior comfort and European exterior design. Besides a new lower starting price for the 2019 Tiguan, it also has introduced new trims to buyers for 2019! Let’s take a closer look!

Trim: 2.0T S

This may be the most basic trim available for the 2019 Tiguan, but it sure does meet every Volkswagen standard. This trim offers two drive options:

• 2.0T S 4dr Front-wheel Drive:  Starting price is $24,295, it has a pretty eco friendly combined 25 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 10 color options, and seats up to 7 passengers. 
• 2.0T S 4dr All-wheel Drive 4 motion: Starting price is $25,595, it has a  combined 24 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 10 color options, and seats up to 5-7 passengers. 

Trim: 2.0T SEL

The SEL trim is a bit of an upgrade from the standard Tiguan S model, but it’s worth every penny of the difference. This model offers two drive options:

• 2.0T SEL 4dr Front-wheel Drive:  Starting price is $31,795, it has a combined 25 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 10 color options, and seats up to 7 passengers. 
• 2.0T SEL 4dr All-wheel Drive 4 motion: Starting price is $33,095, it has a combined 24 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 10 color options, and seats up to 5-7 passengers. 

Trim: 2.0T SEL R-Line

If you’re up for more Tiguan adventure, upgrading to the SER R-Line trim may be best fit. This model also offers two drive options:

• 2.0T SEL R-Line 4dr Front-wheel Drive:  Starting price is $33,645, it has a combined 25 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 9 color options, and seats up to 7 passengers. 
• 2.0T SEL R-Line 4dr All-wheel Drive 4 motion: Starting price is $34,945, it has a combined 24 MPG rating, powers 184hp with it’s 2.0 liter I-4 engine, an 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission, 9 color options, and seats up to 5-7 passengers. 

For the Tiguan lovers, there are still 3 more SEL trims available for the 2019 model! These trims share all the same features of the SEL and SEL R-Line trims but with an extra kick and more incredible. You’ll be hard to miss in the: 2.0T SEL R-Line Black, 2.0T SEL Premium, and 2.0T SEL Premium trims.
