4 Spring Activities You Can Drive to Near Doral, FL

Get ready for some fun spring activities here in Doral, FL. We know our Florida winters don’t compare to our northern neighbors, but we still get excited when the spring months roll around. That’s why we plan to celebrate this time of year with the following events that promise to be a good time. 

1. Paint Like the Masters Art Class

Join the group “Paint with Faith” and get in tune with your inner creativity. Don’t worry; you don’t need to have any experience when it comes to painting. This is for all skill levels. A different theme will be highlighted every week to keep things exciting. The class is for ages 16 and over, and the cost is $15.

The class will be held on April 4 and 18 and on May 2 and 16 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Doral Cultural Arts Center, located at 8363 NW 53rd St.

2. Downtown Doral Run Club

Get your exercise with the Baptist Health Doral Run Club each Monday, starting immediately. There’s no cost to join, and you’ll enjoy meeting new friends and catching up with old ones while running for three to three and a half miles. Meet at 7 p.m. at the corner of 84th Ave. and NW 53 Terrace St. You’ll be running in Downtown Doral Park, located at 8395 NW 53rd St.

3. United Martial Arts

This Taekwondo Doral program is for the kids. They’ll learn the art of respect, self-discipline, and focus through the practice of martial arts. There are two programs; one for ages 4 to 7 and one for ages 8 and up. Registration is currently open; just visit the website. The cost is $200 for residents and $240 for non-residents.

The program begins on April 4 and runs through May 25 on every Tuesday and Thursday. For those ages 4 to 7, the class will be held from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and for the 8 and up group, the class is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The classes will be at Doral Legacy Park, 11400 NW 82nd St.

4. Crafty Art

Kids age 5 to 10 will love making all sorts of crafts at this one-hour event, held every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. from April 5 to May 24. Bring your little ones to the Doral Cultural Arts Center at 8363 NW 53rd St. The cost is $40 for residents and $48 for non-residents. Visit their website to register and for more information.
